15 more days till Christmas!

Hi...can you believe it! 15 more (shopping) days till Christmas!! I'm loving this years Christmas season so much, even though I've only bought a few presents so far. We're trying to keep things simple this year...maybe thats why I'm enjoying it so much.

I hope to have a day set aside for baking cookies, etc. I haven't been able to do that in a long time, so that's something I'm looking forward to (my kids too)!

This week we've been working hard on our upcoming drama at the Recklein. It's going to be one of my favorites I think. Hope you all can make it (Fri & Sat 7pm 12/12-13 & Sun 12/14 10:30).

Merry Christmas! Joanie

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi everyone...I can't believe it's been so long since my last blog. I'll try to do better in the future. My last blog was around revival time with Jeff Ferguson. It was a great! We had awesome services and everyone loved hanging out with Jeff again! We all laughed so hard-no explanations needed if you know Jeff personally. He is a great person, friend and anointed man of God!

Our songwriters workshop and services with Jeff and Jacque DeShetler were equally as powerful. Jeff and Jacque have two different styles of ministry, but when they minister together God's presence is there so powerful...touching the hearts of the people. No words can describe how wonderful that weekend was. I'll try to post some pictures of the event as soon I learn how to. Hey, Warren can you help me learn this? (Warren is our web site man)

Well, this Thursday is Thanksgiving! I can't wait to get together with all of my family. We're doing things alittle different this year. My sister-in-law has invited all of us to her moms house (there going to be out of town) so we'll be enjoying the use of their awesome large farmstyle house...it's beautiful with a lake. Hope the weather is nice enough to take a walk or fish.

I love my family and I'm learning not to take them for granted. After my Dad passing this year, it's changed my perspective on alot of things. I'm trying to slow down more & smell the roses!

Yesterday I did some cleaning for the upcoming holidays and spent sometime going through keepsakes and such. I listened to some worship music, looked at some things I haven't looked at for some time (pics & cards, etc). I loved it...it's great to remember special past memories! I'm looking forward to creating more this upcoming Thanksgiving & Christmas!

Pastor Terry and I pray you all be especially blessed this Thanksgiving and Christmas season! Just being able to spend time in God's presence answers that prayer. There is a new song by Matthew West that I love...one of the lines is..."I don't want to spend the rest of my life wondering what would of happened if I would of given you everything". Wow! What lyrics!!

Through all the battles we've faced this year...I've come to the conclusion that I'm giving my God, my Savior, my precious Holy Spirit everything! God has blessed Change of Heart magnificently these past 10 years! We're going to give our all to see it become everything the Lord intended...we're excited and expecting great things in 2009! Watch and see what the Lord is going to do through Change of Heart (to our congregation...that's you).

We love you all! Joanie

PS...Don't forget the praise band SHARC will be with next Friday night @ 7pm!

Do ONE great thing during your lifetime!

Hi everyone...Last Sunday morning, Jack Harris from Global Messenger International came
and spoke a very challenging message to our church body. He shared that the word "average" should be elimated from a christians vocabulary. To put his message in one sentence I would have to say that the sentence reads as this "when we put others and there needs first, over our own, that something great always happens"!

Revival is 3 days away...we're so excited and expecting great things! We're having a special prayer and worship service tonight in preparation for the upcoming revival. A guest speaker shared a word that she felt was for our church body...

Repentance + Reconcilation = Revival

Pastor Terry and I are applying that word to our lives and preparing our hearts, so all hinderances are removed...remember King David's words...Ps 51...."Create in me a pure and clean heart..." its our heartfelt prayer....Joanie

Healer

What a beautiful & anointed song... "Healer"...what a beautiful and anointed service Sunday.
The past two services have been different...His presence closer, more tangible and more powerful...I love HIM and HIS faithfulness!

Remember, when others may forsake you...family or friends, or both...HE has never left you! How awesome is that...no strings attached...no fear of betrayal...only HIS unfailing love, strength, peace, encouragement...letting us know that everything will be alright!

Be encouraged if your going through a hard time. HE hasn't left you...never doubt HIS love for you...you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of living just as King David did many years ago...Psalm 27.

You'll be OK...it's HIS promise...Joanie

"Yours"

Many of you may know that a new verse has been added to Steven Curtis Chapmans song "Yours". They have been playing the new version on JoyFm...the verse was added after the death of his precious, 5 yr old little girl Marie Sue. Here are the words to the new verse:
I've walked the valley of deaths shadow
So deep & dark that I could barely breathe
I've had to let go of more than I could bear
And questioned everything that I believe
But still even here in this great darkness
A comfort and hope come breaking through
As I can say in life or death
God we belong to you
Through the many seasons of change in our lives, his words express what our hearts have felt many times. This awesome families journey can be followed on the links below. Our prayers go with them...what honor their lives have brought to Christ! Joanie

Revival in the air!

Wow! What an awesome service Sunday morning! Several people told me Sunday, how they felt revival in the air...the past two weeks I feel the Holy Spirit has been preparing our leadership & the congregations hearts for the upcoming revival.
Joanie & I both know that Change of Heart is entering a new season that we have never experienced before-everyone keep preparing your hearts so that the Holy Spirit has freedom to move-God is faithful and all the prophectic words that have been spoken over COH will come to past if we do our part & be obedient. Invite a freind to services next weekend! Have a blessed week....Pastor Terry

Just when you need it...HE shows up!

Hi, everyone! It's been a busy weekend so far. Last night Terry & I, Gabe, Swappy, Chuck, Dick and Jackie went to a special service at Oasis International Ministries in St. Louis...it was a word in due season. The special speaker was from Illinois...he moves alot in the gift of prophecy...as service was closing he came up to our seats and gave us a prophetic word...we will share more of what he spoke in the days to come...but I wanted to share the one thing spoken- "it was that all of the road blocks we're going to be removed." How right-on his words were, for sure 2008 has been a year of road blocks, from all directions.

I know in my heart that FREEDOM is truly coming! The things spoken prophetically in days, months & years past are going to manifest...its time...its time! Are you ready for revival? Are you ready for restoration? The Holy Spirit is ready & willing...all we have to do is keep our hearts seeking His. To retain a heart of repentance...than reconciliation is there which brings about revival!

Londa, Allie & I worked on our mailing for the upcoming revival with Jeff Ferguson. Also, the songwriters & worship leaders conference in September. Our goal is to send 500 packet to churches & individuals. We know it's going to be an awesome event!

We'll see everyone tomorrow...have a blessed & peaceful evening....Joanie

Weekend at the Dream Center, St. Louis

Hi Everyone...We're back home! It's great getting to take a mini vacation, but it's been good being back home. Joanie & I spent Saturday at The Magic House with Gabe & Swappy...we had a good time & took some cool pics! After that we went & spent the night at The DeShetler home in Eureka. Steve cooked us a great dinner & as always we enjoyed talking with Steve & Jacque...sharing stories...hopes & dreams. They've always been an encouragement to us & Change of Heart! Sunday morning we went to the St. Louis Dream Center where Jacque lead worship...it was an awesome worship time-the church doesn't hold back there praises! They had a special guest that morning...he spoke about the CHURCH...what it should be & where it should be headed. Joanie & I gained some new insight to our ministry....Pastor Terry & Joanie
